SPORT AGAINST CRIME - Community Development Projects
The SA Corporate Games have been presenting numerous games, sport events and other projects with great success in conjunction with various Organizations and Companies throughout the country as well as Sport Against Crime since 1994.
Sport Against Crime is no longer only a concept, but now an official company, presenting these events in such a manner, not only to enhance the services and involvement of the various parties, but specifically focussing on Sport as a deterrent to crime and furthermore creating opportunities for further enhancement of the participating Parties.
Different from the past with our Games, we will not only be targeting the youth and schools, but also Colleges, Universities as well as the Corporate Sector, disabled and the unemployed from the rural areas. We will be taking the sport and games to where it is needed.
WHY?
"KEEP OUR PEOPLE IN SPORT, HEALTHY, POSITIVE, AND AWAY FROM CRIME"
Police Offices are stacked with dockets implicating our people in some sort of crime. Courts are filled with cases against people who are able bodied citizens of our land. Our jails are crammed with people who should be outside, contributing to the development of South Africa. It is a terribly sad situation.
The reasons for the involvement in crime are legion. Mostly, they stem from the fragmentation of families, wrong choices, as well as socio-economic conditions, which create breeding boxes in which the seeds of crime germinate.
But, we have to stop blaming all kinds of ills and concentrate on ways in which we can keep the courts empty and people on the straight and narrow road where morals are upheld and right is accepted as right - and wrong discarded as wrong.
In this battle to instill a sense of morality into the minds and souls of those who could fall into the hands of evil, we have to apply every aid at our disposal. One of those is sport.
As this is a very crucial time of the year with the Festive season coming up, we will be focusing on certain events in and around the City of Tshwane and through this help Child Welfare Tshwane bring about a smile on the faces of families presently enduring hardship, especially those in hospitals. The Association for People with Disabilities will not only be receiving financial support, but also further assistance with the fulfilling of dreams according to a wish list we have received from them.
Sport Equipment, clothes, food and fruit, and other supplies are also to be given to specific identified Institutions which are Isikhahla School, the Progressive Aids Project, Association for People with Disabilities, Helping Hands and other Institutions whom receive minimum assistance from the Government.
